Services

Our services

Design. Build. Coat. Commission.

Every stage of your project handled in-house in Gympie for timber, oil and gas, mining and construction, from manufacturing drawings through to site installation. One team, one point of accountability.

Automated machinery

Designed, built and commissioned for your plant.

We design, build, install and commission automated machinery for timber processing and manufacturing, including sorting and packaging systems, infeeds, feed units and transfer systems. Our Innovation and Major Projects team has delivered this work for Parkside Group and Hyne Timber, including an automated sorting and packaging system at Parkside’s Wondai Dry Mill.

  • Sorting, packaging and material handling systems
  • Infeeds, feed units and transfer systems
  • 3D design and in-house FEA
  • Installation by our own crew and cranes
  • Commissioning, testing and MDR handover

Turnkey projects

One contract, one team, concept to commissioning.

Turnkey means you deal with one supplier from start to finish. We take your project from concept and 3D design through fabrication, coating, installation and commissioning, all managed by our own team.

It isn’t only machinery. We’ve delivered design-and-construct builds such as a fuel storage bunker, covering the civils, footings, floor slab, tilt panels and structural steel, then fabrication, blasting, painting and installation on site.

How a turnkey project runs

Step 1

Concept

We start with your problem, idea or concept drawings.

Step 2

Design

3D modelling in Solid Edge and in-house FEA.

Step 3

Build

Fabrication, machining and assembly in our 4,000 m² Gympie workshop.

Step 4

Coat

Abrasive blasting, painting and powder coating in-house.

Step 5

Install

Delivered and installed by our own crew and 14 t Franna cranes.

Step 6

Commission

Functional testing, punch-list close-out and MDR handover.

Design, drafting and engineering

Optimised for manufacture before steel is cut.

Our in-house specialists work with you to optimise your product designs and drawings for manufacture, using 3D modelling in Solid Edge and in-house FEA.

We also run finite element analysis (FEA): a computerised method that predicts how a product reacts to real-world forces such as vibration, heat and fluid flow. It shows whether a design will break, wear out or work the way it was intended, which saves you time and money before anything goes on site.

What we deliver

  • 3D modelling in Solid Edge
  • In-house FEA testing
  • Shop and manufacturing drawings
  • Safe design documentation
  • Full MDR documentation

Fabrication and manufacturing

Structural steel, plate and custom equipment.

Our 4,000 m² ISO 9001 certified workshop handles structural and plate fabrication to AS/NZS 5131 CC2, from single components and sawmill conveyors to complete trailer-mounted equipment and multi-building structural steel projects.

Lighter stainless steel and aluminium work is handled by our dedicated Sheet Metal Division.

Capabilities

  • CNC plasma profile cutting
  • Plate rolling
  • Structural and plate fabrication
  • Custom equipment for timber, oil and gas, mining and construction
  • Stainless steel and aluminium sheet metal

Welding

From general-purpose welds to high-pressure pipe.

All structural and pipe welding comes with weld traceability records, so you can retrieve the full history of any weldment: materials, consumables, welding procedures, weld mapping, welder qualifications and NDT results.

The extent of traceability is matched to the level of risk for each component. MMAW, GTAW and GMAW processes are carried out by qualified welders under qualified weld supervisors, in the workshop or on site with our mobile welding crew.

Welding services

  • General-purpose welding to AS 1554:2014
  • Structural welding to AS 1554:2014
  • Pipe welding
  • High-pressure pipe welding
  • Mobile and on-site welding
  • Full weld and material traceability

Non-destructive testing

Proof that the weld is right.

We provide non-destructive testing to your requirements and to the Australian Standards. Our in-house weld supervisors are trained in a range of NDT methods.

Full traceability documentation can be supplied as a Manufacturer’s Data Report (MDR) on request.

What you get

  • Testing to customer and Australian Standards requirements
  • In-house trained weld supervisors
  • Results recorded against weld maps
  • MDR documentation on request

Machining

Custom parts, made to suit.

Our machinists specialise in custom parts, designing and machining components to suit your requirements on CNC and manual machines, for timber mills, drilling equipment and industrial plant.

We keep a range of bar in stock, which speeds up turnaround for our clients.

  • CNC lathe and centre lathe
  • CNC milling and milling machine
  • Bar stock held on site
