When the co-founders of Oz-Tac Engineering Luke Edwards, Gary Edwards and Ty Horne strap on their boots every morning, they probably don’t think too much about huge difference they make in the lives of so many Australians. This was no more evident than when St Hilliers, a hugely successful company, who delivers some of the largest and most iconic construction projects chose Luke and his team to provide customised engineering solutions for their portion of a major Australian Defence Force Project in the Wide Bay Region of Queensland.
“Nothing was ever too hard and nothing was a problem to them” This is Mitchell Herford, Senior Site Manager, St Hilliers explaining what it has been like to do business with Luke and the Oz-Tac Engineering Team.
The total ADF project was valued at approximately $ 32 million, with Oz-Tac Engineering providing over $1 million worth of tailored engineering solutions. The scope of works Oz-Tac Engineering delivered was a range of Structures and Range Training Facilities, Training Facility Towers, an Electronic Classification Range, Roofing, Toilet Facilities and Waiting Shelters. All these facilities aid our Australian Defence Force Personnel by providing state-of-the-art training facilities, accommodation and exposure to situations that develop necessary skills and competencies needed to keep Australia and our allies safe and secure.
Mitchell has had a very positive experience dealing with Luke and his team, where Luke was open, skilled and sorted out any issue with an aim to please at every step of the project. This type of attitude is evident throughout the culture of Oz-Tac Engineering, from the first point of contact with the person who picks up the telephone to respond to your initial enquiry, to sitting with the talented co-founders who talk the talk and walk the walk. Oz-Tac Engineering knows their stuff and they openly share their knowledge, skills, ideas and solutions during the life of a project – so you get just what you need.
“They gave us exactly what we asked for and met all our expectations”
For Oz-Tac Engineering that’s what it’s like, they listen, make suggestions, design, manufacture, install and commission customised solutions to solve your problem – it’s all part of the job.
